South African Tourism is the official tourism board of the South African Government. The office of SA Tourism based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands is looking for a temporary Marketing, Trade and Administration Assistant for the period of three months, 24 hours a week.

Key Outputs
  • Manning the reception
  • Answer consumer and trade phone calls (eg explanation about birth certificates, safety, travel tips etc)
  • Handling physical mail
  • Assist walk in guests with information on South Africa
  • Assist finance manager at Head Office with translations regarding our Dutch providers such as insurance companies, telephone company, facility management companies etc.
  • Assist Trade and Marketing and Communications Manager
  • Warehouse management (collateral request, supply management)
  • Roadshow assistance: sourcing venues, communication with travel agents
  • Presence at travel fairs to promote South Africa
  • Assistance with preparing fam trips. 


  • Hands on mentality
  • Familiar with South Africa as a travel destination
  • Can organize events
  • Good knowledge on the Dutch travel industry
  • Fluent in Dutch and English
  • Administration skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Experience in a government environment is a pre
  • Organized and representative
  • Team player
